I was so thrilled to do this project for my friend Sammy Hall. I was given a clean slate with a very limited budget which is a decorators dream come true. I decided to go very light since it's such a small space with limited lighting.

So six months ago I started my buying for every detail of this house from furniture, bedding, drapes, stools, dishes, art work, rugs, and accessories. My greatest find was the Ethan Allen sofa and dining room light fixture (came from habitat restore ) If your on a very limited budget check them out.

The beautiful dining room table is made of walnut and was custom made from a friend of Sammy's . The benches with the table were from Tuesday Mornings and chairs World Market (slightly damaged and great price point)

Home Goods, Target, Marshalls, Overstock, At Home, Amazon, Etsy, and Pottery Barn Kids, were all my go to places for all the furnishings and accessories.

Since I was on a time crunch in setting this house up (had 1 1/2 days) I wanted to be sure I had every detail covered so I over buyed just in case something didn't work out. It's always best to do this since you can always return unused items. Sammy was all about glitz and glam so I knew fur rugs and mirrors were a must. I wanted to surround her with pictures of the ones she holds so precious.

When I asked Jazz (Sammy's son) what he wanted his room to be about he said I,love red and I want pictures of me all over the room ...gotta love this kid.

I could never have pulled this off, without the help of my wonderful husband, Elaine and Chuck, Sue, Chris and Tina . They helped assemble every bed, dresser, coffee table, stool, artwork, mirror.

You know there will never be anything more gratifying than giving Sammy and Jazmeer a wonderful home to enjoy for years to come. I love the feeling it gives me when a project is completed and it brings joy to their lives.

I LOVE MY JOB
